Instead of a  low-resolution displays surprised at the new model from Panasonic  the large 3-inch monitor with 460,000 sub-pixels,  which is quite sufficient for image control. However,  one misses the TZ25 TZ31 compared  with the touch function,  and this is not absolutely necessary.

Even with the GPS in the new model  Panasonic has turned the screw and saving it omitted  completely. Advantage to the user on the other hand, the films in full HD  resolution at 25 frames  per second.

Besides the already known PASM modes, where you can adjust the aperture in 7 steps, were at the  TZ25 new automatic functions such as the  Sweep Panorama integrated.

After extensive tests the TZ25 reached the first place among the travel-zoom cameras. A much better image quality was achieved among others by switching to a MOS image sensor with 12 megapixel resolution only.

Here, the maximum resolution is between 1229 line pairs per image height to 922 line pairs. In the full view emerges in the A3-term image noise at ISO 1,600 and the monitor from ISO 400.

The fast light-speed autofocus is quite successful in the TZ25, just like the power of the battery that makes 130-470 photos without problems. As of March this year, the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ25 is to be had for 330 €.

After CES  in January, bring the next event is waiting just around the corner, the  camera fans one way or another novelty is likely. In nine  days starts the CP + photo exhibition in Japan, and ahead of  the digital camera manufacturers to announce new products first. After it was yesterday  to see the Sony TX200V, WX50 and WX70,  now Panasonic’s turn.

The manufacturer has announced the Lumix DMC-TZ25 DMC-TZ31 and the two new super-zoom cameras. The duo of Lumix DMC-FT4 and FT20, however, comes with water proof and shock-resistant  housing and is designed for  action and outdoor enthusiasts. The Lumix DMX-FX80 comes  in a super slim body, therefore, finally, and with touch screen. But first things first.

Panasonic’s Travel Zoom series called – identified by the initials TC – since the announcement of the TZ1 exactly five years ago a guarantee of success. Today, the Super Zoom series has become, the duo of Lumix DMC-TZ25 and TZ31 increase again.

The more expensive and only 2.8 centimeter thick TZ31 model according to the manufacturer is currently the thinnest camera that offers a 20x optical zoom. The slightly thicker at 3.3 inches TZ25 integrates with a 16-fold objective but not splash out too straight. In both cases, the focal range starts at 24 mm wide angle.

Both cameras use a fast, 1 / 2, 33-inch MOS sensor, which allows for full resolution of 14 or 12 megapixel continuous shooting rate of ten frames per second. In the TZ31 is after ten pictures in the sequence concludes with the TZ25 after four shots.

With autofocus prying the two siblings are still quite impressive four photos per second. Both digital cameras also caught a full-HD video, the larger model with 50 frames per second, the smaller will be content with 50 fields and also captures sound in mono in stereo instead of just one.

With the very compact zoom cameras, Panasonic TZ31 and TZ25 with its TZ1 model, launched in 2006 as a model handy, universal “always-there” Compact cameras with large zoom range on the cutting edge of technology. Yet compact 20x or 16x zoom from 24 mm wide-angle allow housing depths of only about 30mm, and this compact, powerful zoom cameras should offer ideal for travel.

The new high-sensitivity MOS sensors along with the more developed Venus Engine image processor in both cameras should provide for low-noise, highly detailed images. The high-zoom Leica DC Vario-Elmar 24-480mm (equivalent KB, 20 views) of the subject areas TZ31 opens up even more. Both visually and mechanically its new design with a nano-coated element of internal reflections allows only 30 mm slim design. The TZ31 is a 14 – the TZ25 and equipped with a 12 megapixel sensor.

The image control is carried out over a 7.5-inch LCD monitor, which now also achieved with the TZ25, the high resolution of 460,000 pixels. The Lumix TZ31 also allows a fast and convenient touchscreen operation such as playback during recording. For the record there are a number of new “multi-shot” effects such as HDR, panoramic and pan 3D. This makes the sensor several shots in rapid succession, which are then combined by the image processor in the camera to the desired effect.
